An AMRAP is what I like to call X minutes of death . . . in this case thirty minutes of death. Well in reality is means As Many Rounds As Possible. LOL so you can imagine the phrase X minutes of death.
Now granted I started this blog about a year or so into our workout routine. So some of these exercises are realistically out of order. The point is though if we can do it then you can do it. Rome wasn’t built in a day and every little bit will make you stronger.
This AMRAP though was a challenging one. It was a cycle of a total of thirty minutes. The exercises round was ten push presses (weighted bar bells pushed overhead), burning 4 calories (my daughter)/ 6 calories (myself) on the bike which is much harder than it looks, 100 foot weighted sled push, and 16 renegade rows (imagine a plank and then staying in said plank and lifting dumbbells). Every five minutes stop what we are doing and do 20 situps.
This workout here was a burn baby burn workout, but it kept our minds off the clock and into the workout. We basically kept moving or did our best to keep moving throughout the whole time. Yes we got slower at the end. Yes we challenged ourselves. At the end of the day we became stronger.
